The work

Interior work is judged on two things: the cut line where the wall meets the ceiling, and what your house looks like at six o'clock when the crew has gone. Both come down to preparation and habits rather than talent.

We mask and cover before anything is opened, fill and sand so the wall is actually flat before it is coated, and prime where the surface needs it rather than as a formality. Then we put the right sheen in the right room — a scrubbable finish where family traffic hits the wall, a flat ceiling that hides the plane, enamel on trim that stands up to being knocked.

Our process

How an interior job runs

Each stage is written down in the estimate, so you know what is happening on your house and roughly when.

  1. Free estimate and color

We measure, agree the rooms and the sheens, and write a scope so there is no ambiguity about what is included.

  2. Protect and mask

Floors covered, furniture moved and wrapped, fixtures and hardware removed or masked, doorways sealed where dust will travel.

  3. Fill, sand, prime

Nail pops, dents and old anchor holes filled and sanded flush. Patches, bare drywall and stained areas spot-primed so they do not flash through the topcoat.

  4. Cut and coat

Ceilings, then walls, then trim. Two coats as standard, cut by hand at every edge.

  5. Reinstate and walk through

Hardware back on, furniture back in place, floors cleaned. We walk every room with you and fix anything on your list before we leave.

Why us for this

What matters on the inside

  • Straight lines, no touch-ups needed

Wall-to-ceiling and wall-to-trim lines cut by hand. A crisp line is the whole difference between a painted room and a professionally painted room.

  • Prep you cannot see

Filling and sanding is most of the labor on an interior job and all of the result. We do not skip it to hit a number.

  • The right sheen in the right room

Flat on ceilings, a washable finish on family-traffic walls, enamel on trim and doors. Sheen choice decides how a room ages.

  • Tidy at the end of every day

Not just at the end of the job. You are living in the house while we are in it.

Questions

Things people ask us about this

Do I need to move everything out?

No. We move and wrap furniture as part of the job — you only need to deal with anything fragile or genuinely valuable that you would rather handle yourself.

How many coats do you apply?

Two as standard. A dramatic color change, bare drywall or a heavily patched wall may need primer plus two, and we say so in the estimate rather than discovering it later.

Can you paint while we are living here?

Yes, that is normal. We work room by room, seal off what we are in, and leave the house usable at the end of each day.
